“Ringan” is a film by Debutante director and writer Makarand Mane, produced by Vitthal Patil, Ganesh Phuke, Mahesh Yewale, Yogesh Nikam, Makarand Mane, Vidhi Kasliwal, under Landmarc Films, My Role Motion Pictures Production , Shashank Shende, Sahil Joshi in lead role. Ringan is a struggle of a farmer towards the circle of life and death.
Ringan or The quest is the national award-winning film.The film relates to the story of a farmer Arjun(Shashank Shende) and his son Abhimanyu (Sahil Joshi).Arjun stuck in the vicious circle of drought and debt and has to repay a loan to a zamindar and asking for help from relatives and friends but no one truned up and finally they decided to travel to God’s abode Pandharpur to meet lord Vithal and while Abhimanyu is looking for his dead mother and believes she is living at God’s abode ,it brought a remarkable turn in their life and Arjun gets a job where he saves the money and finally he can get back his land from the money lender back home.Thus in this period how he face the greedy nature of himself and how his son Abhimanyu help him out is a wonderful lesson to all of us ,that sometimes elders commit mistakes and younger’s make them understand and guide them for the betterment, and both learn something from each other.
The Music of the film is by Rohit Nagbhide,while lyrics written by Dasu Vaidya. Shashank Shende, Vaibhav Deshmukh, Cinematography (DOP) by Abhijit D. Adbe and its Executive-producer is Sanjay Dawra. Thousands of farmers have killed themselves over the last decade. After unseasonal rains and drought affected their incomes. This film is an inspiration for all the other farmer to stand up for themselves and never lose hope, it’s a wonderful watch.
